Artist Statement
In the beginning of my artistic career, my thoughts regarding what I wanted to do were very scattered. However, in recent years, I have chosen to step back from the tight realism I once embraced, for a more open and creative style. As someone who is a primarily self taught artist, my art comes from a spontaneous response to the world as it is filtered through my imagination, memory and heart. I truly feel that there is a celebrating quality to art that is inspiring and alive!
